our reservation was for 6:45 in the evening. we ordered about 20 minutes later. the first cursor was received at 7:45 o'clock. the escaped arrived at 21 o'clock. the service was very slow. the attitude of the waiter was very rude. about eating: the first cure, the brain carpacio was very good and beautifully executed. so was the pear ravig. the main course, the reh back was also delicious and good, but the troute fischfilet was dry and needed seasoning. the gloomy, a glass with black forest cherry torte, was dry, not fresh, maybe stayed long in the refrigerator. an expensive restaurant. I wouldn't go back there. we were near the hotel so it was easy to reach. not too many possibilities in the opposite.
When staying in Schlosshotel Monrepos you probably will go to this restaurant as this is next to the hotel. This restaurant is a good choice, especially as the city of Ludwigsburg is little far away and there is nothing else in the neighborhood. Food was...good and prices are reasonable. They have a nice wine list (just one wine list for the whole restaurant) and they also serve wines from the winery next to the hotel. Very friendly service, so overall we had a nice evening there.
We spent a wonderful evening to celebrate my wife's birthday with a highly recommendable menue. We decided for a five step dinner, including corresponding wine and nice greetings from the kitchen. To be quite honest it was a bit to much. But the taste and...the service fitted to the atmosphere and the desired perfect specialties. Nothing to claim! Highly recommended!
