Gutsausschank im Baiken

The people next to our table are totally wrong. We had made a reservation by phone for a table next to the vineyard. And we did not get our reserved table!!! The reservation was confirmed . o.k, but do not fall into the vineyard We...were in this place more than a dozen times, that is why I could make a precise reservation. When we arrived with friends from another city, who specificly came to see this place, we were told that there is no reservation for a table next to the vineyard. They argued that that others had made an earlier resevation This, of course, is totally wrong and of no relevance because I had a confirmed reservation. Even worse they claimed that I had not made a reservation next to the vineyard This is mean and impertinent. So I recommend to others: go for walk through the vineyards and enjoy the beautiful view and have a better and more favourable wine somewherere else in the Rheingau.

This was my second visit to this restaurant. The first time around we attended an event and the food and service was great.This time around we came with family for dinner whilst touring though the region.Unfortunately, our experience couldn't have been any more different compared to our first one.The service was slow, I felt that we were more an inconvenience than appreciated.The food was okay, but the portions were small and some of it wasn't even cooked properly.The shame thing about it all is that the estuarine was even full or overly busy.I certainly won't be coming back for a while but might give it a try after a while again to give it one more chance, given that our first visit was a good experience.

We visited this restaurant a few years ago, and looked forward to another visit. I wish we'd returned sooner, but "better late than never". We tried to make a reservation but the book was full. However, we were told that if we arrived for an early dinner, we'd be seated. In fact, once we arrived we were told "take your time, the other party is delayed". We enjoyed an excellent meal, excellent wine, and excellent service. All in a location literally in the middle of a vineyard, overlooking the Rhine. We'll be back, having booked our reservation earlier.

We recently ate dinner at Baiken and it was such a great experience. The food and Riesling wine were amazing! My husband had the venison and I had a small ravioli dish with pretzel crumbs; both were equally delicious. The restaurant is situated on top...of a hill surrounded by vineyards. Amazing views. Definitely plan on returning with friends and family.

A very nice place to spend part of the summer afternoon. Terrace with a view to fertile vineyards. Good wine and very kind staff.
