When I'm in Kiel and meet acquaintances, we often go to Gutenberg. The Gutenberg is a corner restaurant with club rooms, as unfortunately they hardly exist today. You could also say that students pubs with an extensive selection of dishes, although the audience is very mixed. Sports events and handball/football Bundesliga are also transferred to large screens. In summer you can also sit outside in the beer garden. There's a lot going on tonight, as there's football. We can just find room as there are also some two tables. I chose a peasant breakfast and my acquaintances a cheese Bacon Burger. The Gutenberg usually has around the 10 different burgers on the menu that are always welcome. For this I take a Newcastle beer, which is not cheap here at 4.40€ for 0.5l. By the way, the beverage prices on the homepage are no longer up to date. The peasant breakfast (8,90€) is tastefully a little flat. There is a ham supplement, but it is obviously not Holsteiner Katenschinken, but some air-dried from the south. My acquaintance also mutilates her burger, and since I have eaten here more often, I am now painfully aware that the food is missing in the last time of the peep. With the friendly services I also find the reason: The “old” cook is no longer there. The new one obviously has the turn with the subtleties (still not out). I already take the idea of localities and hope that the weaknesses of eating will change very soon.
