Global Cafe - Reservar uma mesa

Worst experience ever!!! I ordered empanadas as an appetizer and a quesadilla for my entre. We waited almost 25 minutes for our food to be served. We paid before the food was ever delivered. When the food was brought to the table, the quesadilla (the main course) was brought out first. My appetizer (the empanadas) did not come for another 15-20 minutes after the main course had been served. Then, when I cut into one of the empanadas, it was raw on the inside. I told the server that it was raw and not cooked completely. She responded, Let me tell the higher power. We waited so long that we were about leave without ever speaking with management; this was approximately another 20 minutes. Management approached as we were pushing our chairs up to the table and gathering our belongings to leave. The only solution offered by management was to fix the empanadas. When I told him that I did not want them because we were leaving and asked for a refund, he said, I cannot give you your money back, but I can fix them or make you another. Ths was a $25.00 lunch that I was unable to eat and for which management refused to issue a refund. Needless to say, I told him that I would never come back and that I would be sure to let everyone I know how poorly I was treated and how bad the food was.

I was very disappointed in the food and the service tonight. I ordered shrimp tacos and carnitas tacos. The shrimp was tasteless and rubbery, so I moved to the carnitas hoping they'd be better. The carnitas tasted like salty roast beef. I explained this to the owner/manager. He became extremely rude and he also refused to exchange or to refund me. His position was that if they give you what you ordered (even if it's sub-par), then that's just too bad for you. Needless to say, I won't be back.

I'm a regular Global Cafe diner, and it never disappoints. The variety of international food is outstanding and changes so there is always something new. It's an experience to sit outside at the tables and watch everything that's happening at Crosstown Concourse as you eat. It's the perfect summer lunch or dinner!Food: 5/5
