Glacier fabricant Lambert

Despite coming to Domme for more than 10 years, this was our first visit to Lambert's. Why? Because we think they are open only at "odd" hours--from about 2:30 to 6 ish or so in season. SOOO many times we wanted to stop there after a typically late dinner! Or earlier--right after lunch at say, 1:30 p.m. Also, in off season, they are not open every day. All that said, the ice cream IS delicious and we will return. We tried four different flavors, chocolate, mandarin, coffee and chocolate mint chip. The locals tell us the fruit flavors are the best. We liked all we tried.

Now, there is ice cream and ice cream that can be eaten at any time. Glacier Lambert falls into this second category. The staff show an enthusiasm for the product, which encourages the customer to enjoy choosing from a gorgeous, often innovative selection, from creamy to spicy and fruity. My wicked treat from here is Caramel Beurre Sale- unmissable. Just order, disappear onto a bench beneath the trees and simply enjoy!

The ice cream is fantastic but I should say the standard in the local area is very high. This is one of the good ones. Visited many times during our stay.

Top notch ice cream and friendly staff behind the counter. Many flavours there, I stuck to my favourites of vanilla and pistachio for €3.30.

Enjoyed a scoop of coffee / cookie cream and mandarin. All 3 were great but i'd say coffee and mandarin were out standing.
