Gasthof Roessle

There is a nice atmosphere in the beer garden with lovely old chesnut trees lending shade on sunny days. The food is typically beer garden fare with Weißwurst, Roast Pork with dumplings and red cabbage. There is a reasonable variety of other dishes but I,...personally, have enjoyed the simple , down-to-earth, no frills German food. It is tasty . The portions for those with large appetites are very generous. I don't drink beer and the wine was fairly good with several choices. All in all, a vist to Gasthof Roessle is a pleasant and satisfying experience.

A very typical German restaurant with beautiful beer garden. It looked very nice so we decided to join for dinner. As the atmosphere is beautiful, the food is mediocre to say the least. We had a variety of dishes, no one saw or tasted...big. There are definitely better tasting food available. I wouldn't go back to dinner. It's good for a beer, nothing else.

Chaotic, inefficient service, Wienerschnitzel was lukewarm and tasted mehlig, not crisp and sizzling as it should be. Fries also lukewarm, rather soggy instead of hot and crispy. Satisfied for the price, but nothing more. I'll try another place next time.

A really good place to eat. Local specialties, great wine and service. In the very centre of the town, so always busy but worth waiting for a table outside or eat inside!
