People drive miles to eat chicken at this restaurant it's become a real tradition to eat here. The only drawback is that you can't make a reservation you just come and wait to be seated. Of course a nice cold glas of beer helps to make your waiting time more enjoyable! ; This place is so popular that people queue in front of the door at 4:30 pm when they open to get a table! But please note that they are closed on Saturdays!! Nothing special about the interior of the restaurant but who cares? The chicken ist fantastic!!! Well worth a visist..... :

The venue is located in the country side of the “Bergisches Land”. The restaurant has two inside dining rooms which are decorated with devotional objects of the region. The menu is very short and is composed of roasted chicken with French fries and cologne beer. With it we had Koelsch (the Cologne beer). The chicken is good .The service kind and quick.

You don't have to say much about this restaurant. Just incredibly delicious. There are other things, but the chicken is great! Sometimes you have to wait long until you have a place because you can't book. But otherwise chicken Ewald is just great.

Coming from the states and finding this gem was awesome! Food was delicious! Service was friendly and fast. However you will wait for a table since the establishment is small so do not go if you have time restraints.

excellent chicken, Fries, Mayonnaise great place to be (y of course some Cologne beer regular I am crazy to do ad, as it full enough every day ;
