Problem solved see below) the owner was very responsive and let me know the staff just hadn't been apprised of the situation. I am a long time customer and will continue to be because their baked goods are so delicious. Thank you Heather for taking care of your customers!We have been long time customers of Flour Craft Bakery in San Anselmo. We love their baked goods and have never had an issue, never made a complaint. Last Sunday my husband brought me a sourdough bowl to try something new $11 for the bread, after spending $35 the day before for a dinner party). When I went to taste it, it was wet in the middle, heavily damp. It was not fully cooked. Usually I wouldn't say anything, but after my husband cut into it even he saw it wasn't worth saving. I called them up because we live a few miles away; I was ready to drive over if needed but thought I would call first. The woman I spoke with said I did not need to come back in, that she would credit me the $11. I said thank you. As I was doing my bookkeeping, I saw the credit didn't come through. I called the bakery honestly, I thought it would be no big deal. The call was very uncomfortable, I was told no one there said that they would refund me, and that they would not honor the refund today. I should have come in with the bread at the time. Then they went on to try and shame me by saying no one else has ever complained about their bread. I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere so I said goodbye. Their baked goods are good, their customer service could use some work.

The food is good but the service is the worst! Those people are stuck up, and with an attitude! They have no real silver ware but those dry wooden pieces that are horrible to eat with. And today you couldn't even eat in there. I wish there was another GF bakery in the area. REPLY BELOW!Since there's no place to reply to Heather, here's my reply. Your assumptions are pointless. Of course I write 1 star reviews, that's how I use Yelp. When things are good, they function as they're supposed to, no need to comment. Now for you to tell me to enjoy my food in the park, that is a decision I would make, not you. And the fake utensils whether for in or out, are horrible to eat with. Just because your food is to go, it should not create a horrible experience. Specially after spending around $20 to purchase it! Of course you didn't have even comment on your staff whose attitude is demeaning, entitled and plainly horrible

We usually just visit for the baked goods, but today we were able to try the prepared meals. I had the Bridgeway Tartine and my little one had the sweet waffles. We were equally pleased with our breakfasts. We ate them outside next to the creek. It made for a perfect morning.

Such a great selection of breads and pastries/treats! If you have to eat gluten free, this bakery is for you. I feel like a normal person here eating just like any person without a gluten issue. I highly recommend the chocolate cookie and the everything cookie!

Everything was delicious. I had a vegan donut and my guy had the tartine with smoked salmon. We sat outside in the nearby park. Sweet little Sunday morning find.
