Flavio le Club de la Foret

We were under no illusions having read recent reviews but the restaurant was close to our hotel and we had just arrived. We both went for the lobster. The first lobster dish with champagne and tarragon was delicious. We were both highly amused, though it was expensive entertainment, to see that the second lobster course was a couple of scrawny claws. This was served with pickled vegetables which detracted from the one or two mouthful of claw meat on the plate. There was quite a discrepancy in the size of portions. Mine was much smaller than my husband's and so was the lady's on the next table compared to her male partners. The decor was not the only thing stuck in the dark ages! The waiters, in my opinion, may have been related to members of the Adams family though a smiling face was in evidence on the receipt of a reasonable tip. An amusing experience but once was enough.

Siamo andati da Flavio per provare un'esperienza da storico ristorante francese. In effetti l'ambiente è stato secondo le aspettative. Stile classico e tipico alla "Francese" il servizio un po' lento ma garbato e gentile. Il cibo è ottimo come la carta dei vini. La presenza del pianista rende la serata molto piacevole per stare con degli amici. Ho gustato un'homard con un zuppa aromatizzata ai tartufi (wow), e per piatto principale una sogliola muniere spettacolar; infine come dessert una millefoglie molto buona. Il tutto con un bordeaux da favola. Che dire, una serata molto speciale!

the setting, a little old but picturesque, the reception and quality of the staff, from the interior, beautiful view of the nearby park. for the meal, we took the surprise fish menu as part of an offer. beautiful suite of dishes, original cuisine but flavorings lacking of nuance: difficult to make a final judgment. Note: toilet upstairs, accessible by a rotating staircase, not possible for the less valid (is there a hidden elevator?)

but this bar restaurant does not admit when holidays or in wé we can get up late and want a coffee breakfast around noon. seeing the unpleasant welcome we asked if we were going to... yes we start the service... no worries we go and we leave a place totally empty saying and well tonight we'll go somewhere else and we've done... thank the flavio

excellent menu, nice presentation and good service, only the reception had personal was a little remote and impersonal.
