Field And Forrest

I have had ice cream at many places over the years, so I don't consider that I am exaggerating when I say that this is genuinely the smallest and meanest scoop of ice cream I have ever purchased. It was less than half the amount of a normal scoop at the outrageous price of £2.50 (for the amount served). I am happy to pay that price for a fair sized scoop but not this mean portion. The ice cream itself was good and the staff very friendly. But I will not be returning any time soon. You only need to view the responses the owner gives to reviewers to see his poor attitude. Very disappointed.

We were headed for a family gathering, and chose to be early at Linfield as we had never walked the town, it was a lovely day. Having done the walk, still early we found Field and Forrest. Cheery welcome; we were planning just to sit down have a drink, but the food looked so nice we chose the coffee cake 'option '. Clean, tidy, nice friendly atmosphere, great food drinks. Thanks.

Clearly popular as there was a queue for takeaway only at current Good choice if ice cream flavours including vegan options which is a treat Enjoyed my raspberry and sorrel sorbet and my family all enjoyed their choices too Can't complain. Not cheap but it's not an ice cream van it's a more permanent cafe so that's not really a surprise!

Really impressed with our visit to F&F today. There was a good selection of drinks and ice cream on offer (including vegan options) very reasonably priced and friendly service! Can’t wait to go back and try some different ice cream flavours.

Expensive sour-tasting hot chocolate drink. Nice (expensive) cake. Would try alternative caff in village.
