Extremeno - Reservar uma mesa

I think that it must have been seventeen years ago that I was first told about this wonderful local restaurant. It has been a 'must ' ever since. Hidden far away from the tourist area of the town and the only commercial enterprise amongst the homes of the locals it is their restaurant. This is a family run restaurant, run for the locals and I count myself and my family as being extremely lucky to be able to share it with them. There is nothing flash about the place. The food is delicious and the tinto de la casa at 4.50 euros a bottle fantastic value for money. But then you can say that about everything in this delightful secret hideaway.

A 3 course lunch menu diari including wine for 9,25 Euro you can find in other remote Spanish restaurants, but in this restaurants all 3 courses were homemade just like my grandmother made them when I was a child. High quality ingredients combined with lots of love or at least hours of slow coocking and attention. And no need to master the Spanish language, the very kind waiter and probably manager of the restaurant speaks fluently French. So the not so exciting surroundings were rapidly ignored.

We found this place by coincidence but don't regret it. It is a classical tapas bar, not fancy at all with 2 televisions at the wall. You should come here for the food. All tapas we tried were delicious. Pimientos del padrón, chipirones, jamón iberico, sardinas,...You cannot go wrong. The menu is also translated in English and French. Wines are basic but cheap. It's definitely a place to go back. Excellent value for money!!!

We were taken to this restaurant by our cab driver because we wanted somewhere different. It certainly was, the food was excellent, supervised by Mum in the kitchen. My husband had in his words ' the best sole he had ever eaten '. Everything was freshly cooked, the wine really really reasonably priced. The whole experience proved that every so often you have to explore the back streets of Sant Feliu and you will not be sorry

Place is very simple, but food is delicious. Very nice people.... Friendly and hospitalible. They have very tasty home made coffe liquer. You can order a bottle there ;
