El Pilon - Reservar uma mesa

Based on the good ratings we choosed this Restaurant. Prices are ok, but the food wasn't impressive. Dry and overcooked was my Canadian meat, the Barbeque-Pizza was drowned in a BBQ sauce. Atmosphere is like a waiting room. TV is constantly running. Maybe we just had bad luck.

This is a regular stop for us when cycling in Tenerife, we recently called in and ordered two ham, cheese and salad baguettes and two large beers. Served to us by the patron they were quickly served and totally delicious and fresh. Total bill 9€ cant beat that. Perfect.

We stopped here by chance and were welcomed by the lively owner, who talked us through the Menu del Dia and the desserts. We had a very tasty 'ropa vieja ' and homemade puds. There were several tables of local regulars eating goat stew and meat balls with rice.

This restaurant doesn‘t look so great from the outside, but...very good and authentic food at low cost. Very friendly service and everything is cooked freshly. Sure to be back, when I come access this village again.

Local meals, very typical. Fried cheese with honey, goat stew … everything is home made. very large choice also breakfast … prices are also local! ie, not expensive for tourists
