El Cigro D'or - Reservar uma mesa

It is not without reason that many locals visit this restaurant so often. Catalán cuisine, with a modern touch. The menu offers great value for money, and the wine list offers a wide range of interesting (local) wines. Whenever we are in the region, this is one of favorites. Fortunately, the cannelloni was still on the menu (probably the signature dish), which was as fabulous as ever. The only minor comment I have regarding this lunch was that a couple of large fish bones were still in the fish which was served. Considering the size, these could easily have been removed on forehand.

We had a lunch of multiple courses, a tomato cream with blue cheese to start, a green salad with peach, chicken canelons (filo pastry), grilled squid, stuffed chicken roll and a desert of cucumber, melon and mint cream. A bottle of Dahlia Gris rosado from Penedes connected with all the courses. An excellent lunch. One not to miss out on.

Dropped in for lunch after sightseeing in town. The fixed €15 menu offers three courses with good selections plus bread and a glass of wine. This is very hard to beat. Service was thoughtful, courses were not rushed. A pure delight we will return to when in Vilafranca next.

Went for a bit during our wine tour. The Restaurant is a hidden gem. Not very visible form the street but worth a visit,
