Edelweiss - Reservar uma mesa

We ate here our first night in Mürren because it was the only place that had open reservations. That should have been a red flag. We ordered a hamburger and the beef fillet. The hamburger was very obviously frozen and likely pre-cooked to well-done temperature so they were not made to order. We ordered the fillet medium and it came out very very rare, it was inedible. I am not the type to send my food back, especially in a foreign country, but I had to. The fillet had sauce on it and it was very clear that when they took it back it was just microwaved, but at least it was edible after that. I am giving two stars instead of one star because they did not give me a hard time when I sent the steak back. After this unfortunate experience, we were afraid to try any other restaurants in Mürren and went to the grocery store to cook pasta in our airbnb the next night.

We were looking for a good spot to have my fondue birthday dinner and this exceeded expectations. Beautiful views from the terrace looking down into the valley while we dined. Wonderful flavor and a plentiful serving for two healthy appetites. (28CHF per person and 2 person minimum). Would easily feed three if you wanted to have a salad with it. Apple strudel dessert was good, but not as impressive.

One of the best terraces for the mountain views but the same can not be said for the food. We ordered hamburgers. The meat was disgusting (frozen meat of the worst quality). We complained and the waiter acknowledged that the hamburgers were not homemade. The menu states that they use fresh produce as much as possible. That does not apply to their hamburgers for sure!

We had lunch out on the terrace on a lovely warm sunny day. Service was good, pleasant staff and fantastic mountain views. We shared a plate of assorted cold meats and cheeses with lovely bread: simple but good quality food and beautifully presented.

This is a great lunch spot in Murren- the classy terrace is the place to be with fabulous mountain views. We loved the woodfired pizzas. George, our server, was the best we had on our entire Swiss trip... so charming and funny. Highly recommended.
