Du Rempart - Reservar uma mesa

We visited here late on a Tuesday evening without a reservation, but were quickly seated with a fantastic view over Sancerre. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, offering guidance with the menu when asked. Delicious complementary snacks were served with our drinks (croutons with a salsa dip and fish pate), as was a small bread basket. We had fish (bar) with vegetables and pork (porc) and everything arrived hot, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.

Have been there last week on th ebase of a friend's suggestion and confirm this is a restaurante where to go when you pass by Sancerre. If you have the chance to eat on the terrace then you have also the panorama. Menu is traditional and dishes are quite generous. List of local wines is enough for you. High quality vs price ratio level. I recommend.

Food was ok. The service on the other hand is TERRIBLE (yes in capitals). Took for ever, the owner and the manager are not friendly at all, and you have to face them cause you have to pay inside, no payment in the table.

We stopped at their outside terrace for a drink. Everyone was able to have their preferred tipple. The view into the valley and across to the other side was stunning.

The food was very delicious and authentic. The servers were kind and patient with our beginner french. The view was amazing and you could see many vineyards.
