De La Plage - Reservar uma mesa

Stumbled across this brasserie next to the beach on a warm autumn lunchtime. Ample free parking outside high season. Diners were sat outside enjoying the sunshine and we were thrilled a table was offered at a busy lunchtime so we could join them. The menu board looked enticing and there appeared to be lots of locals enjoying lunch. We were warmly welcomed and my husband was complimented on his French (although he thinks it’s not deserved). We had moulles and frites with a carafe of house Sauvignon. Big portions and the best fries we’ve ever tasted, one 60 yr old and the other 76! Great atmosphere, excellent food, good service. We’ll be back.

The terrasse is ideally located if you want to lunch around noon. Both the waiters and the owners are very friendly. Food is good (French fries, for example, are obviously home made, not deep-frozen), and you can have something tasty for only a few euros, while the other restaurants around serve swankier (more elaborate) dishes, but for a price that you will recoil from, at least reflexively, unless your pockets are deep. The children menu will make every kid happy for less than €10, dessert included. Recommended place that won’t overload your budget yet keep your taste buds happy!

Excellent service, really friendly staff but be aware they have a small kitchen so if lots of people arrive at once they will turn you away. However if you are prepared to wait they will find you a table. Food was excellent, delicious sea food, lovely wine!! Definitely recommend!! Reviews about staff being rude may be as a result of customers attitude towards the staff as we heard staff only being apologetic but firm! Well done all

Let's just say you are definitely not made welcome within the first few moments of arrival. Even on leaving, we were totally ignored. The staff are sullen and at certains moments were actually rude and sarcastic. Will not be returning and don't advise this place to anyone

We had been to the market in Port Navalo and happened across this place. The five of us sat outside and were served by a lovely lady. We had mussels, chips and galletes ham and cheese and a super complete. All the food was lovely and we would definitely go again.
