Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Not my best visit, then again it was mother's day and busy, busy, busy. Waited at least 45 minutes until my meal arrived at the table. The pot over boiled, the fried maize cake hardly warm, the rest of the food was good. Never again offered on drinks. Many other tables waited long before their food arrived. An older couple near me waited for an hour. I was surprised they didn't get up and go. They were also not offered beverage refills. On this day a staff shortage can be present as a reason for a longer waiting period or only an additional amount. Certainly, more employees need more. I probably go back, but not on a special day.

First the good. The breakfast sandwich was perfect as the Hasch-Brauen-Casserole. My server, Olivia, was great. Very attentive and professional. Only negatives were the decaf coffee is terrible and when I pulled out the chair to sit down, it was sticky to my hand and the floor. You could probably use a good cleaning instead of just a quick wiping. Nevertheless, I would come back.

I always love going here for the hashbrown casserole. However, it was not really all that good yesterday. However, the broccoli cheddar chicken special was phenomenal and I definitely highly recommend! The service was not very good, but I only saw 3 servers so even though it wasn't very busy, they did have several tables.

We ordered Togo because I didn't feel good, everything was nicely packed. The chickens and dumplings were great the vegetables delicious. I got the Turkey and dressing that was wonderful, except the sweet potato casrole that seemed bad. The pancake filling was fabulous the crust not so much.

Our waiter was Herbert and he was very attentive and made a great job overall. Thanks to the others, employees are waiting for support. Felte, like everybody helped each other. Great job cracker barrel!
