Country Waffles

Wow. I haven 't been this disappointed at a restaurant in ages! It was just like eating out of a US Foods/Sysco trailer. The waffles (which are positioned as a specialty) are no better than eggos (pasty)! The chicken tenders were certainly frozen and they totally shorted me on hollandaise sauce , which was more like margarine mixed with mayonnaise than hollandaise. The pancakes were borderline raw (no color on the pancakes, practical pale). The burger looked again straight from the freezer with some of the sorriest buns I 've ever seen. They somehow managed to mess up home fries! They were cut too thick and not fried well enough. I paid $20 including tax and tip for a single entree for one person. That 's over an hour 's wages for me. My friends paid something comparable. I will not be going back here or to any Country Waffles location. I 'd rather eat at IHOP or Jim 's in Pleasanton...

The two stars are not for the service, it?s for the food! Our server was friendly and nice. He checked in with us frequently and made sure we were taken of. He offered refills and was very prompt. The food on the other hand was just mediocre. This is a place you try one time and just never go back. The food did its job by making us not hungry anymore but that?s it. My burger was very soggy. It reminded me of a package of premade frozen burger patties you buy at the store that you just throw in the pan. It had no flavor and was just wet. The fries had no salt and literally just tasted like plain potatoes. The chicken sandwich was okay. Slightly over cooked and dry. Fries were the same. Again the service was great! The food just isn?t something you go back for...

I and my staff ordered 2 orders from cookies and Gravy, per image at the online order, it was 2 cookies with 2 sausages. It also showed that exactly the picture when an order on door fittings. We ever got a cookie with Gravy. What my side of the fruit was literally cut a whole banana that looked like it was cut in the night before, an apple slice also brown and 3 small cantaloupe slice. Very disappointing. When I called, I was told that they would let the owner know.

I love Country Waffles anyway. I live in Fresno and we have one. So, I was really happy when my son took me and the family to this one. I didn't even know that Country Waffles had more than 1 store. Well, it was worth finding out. This location was spotless. The employees all had their smiles on. The bathrooms were also really clean. My go-to breakfast is Eggs Benedict. And these were excellent. You will love this restaurant.

As we were traveling to Stanford, We found Country Waffles Livermore online and it was easy to find. We were greeted by the Mgr Nick and was seat immediately. Service was excellent and the coffee was prompt and very good. Menu was easy to read and the food was THE BEST BREAKFAST I HAD IN MANU YEARS! Nick was outstanding and so was his crew. I thank everyone for a fine job. The biscuits and gravy was the BOMB!?????????
