I agree with the many, mostly positive reviews. This Coop supermarket (perhaps others too has one MAJOR WEAKNESS: The fresh produce (vegetables, fruits, etc. is hardly ever really fresh. And often the fruits bought there never become ripe but go straight into compost mode. E.g. bought today: basil. Elaborate packaging, a few leaves in the viewing window that look good, the majority of the contents turn out to be rotten and moldy at home 1/2 hour after purchase. Yes, I waive the replacement (there is nothing better available and also the refund of the purchase amount. The actual damage is significantly higher than the CHF 2.20 that the product cost. In addition, there would be car expenses for 10km or bus ticket, approx. CHF 7.00, working time for 1/2 hour at least CHF 30.00. The actual damage: CHF 37.00! My observation: Coop fresh products are of significantly lower quality than those at Migros, Aldi, Lidl and Türken . The only thing that is high is the price, around 10% to 30% more expensive than the competition. But the worst thing is: the staff and branch management know this very well and still sell the defective goods. In strict legal terms this is called fraud. And by the way: a Coop branch manager admitted to me when I made a complaint that he himself doesn 't buy fruit at the Coop. He knows why.
