Cognito - Reservar uma mesa

As a group of five it was hard to find a free table for us on a sunday, but we managed to fit around the table in the back underneath the stairs. It's ok as long as you don't mind sitting next to a deposit of restaurant stuff/trash(? that was tucked into the empty space under the stairs and the very dusty stair itself. Sitting on the upper floor I can not recommend because of the bad acoustic situation (very noisy . It is good to have a place where parents can change their baby's diapers, but I would prefer not to have this changing station with an open view towards the restaurant area. At least something good to say: there's an area where children can play. Restrooms without soap on a busy day. The concept of the restaurant is a little bit annoying as you have to queue twice, depending on what you want (for lunch AND for a coffee for instance . The area where you queue to order food is quite narrow, I stood there three minutes just in front of the counter and three times staff was asking me whether I could let them through. Must be annoying for the staff as well. Quality of the food may be good, but the food itself was not very tasty, this was disappointing the most. I had an avocado salsa panini without a hint of something like tasty salsa and only little avocado. No dressing for the little salad aside. Portions not made for hungry people. In my opinion the food is too expensive for what you get. They have Fritz lemonade this I appreciate.

I really like the feeling of Cognito, the atmosphere and the food on offer, but in my experience, the service can sometimes be poor, and the staff do not prioritise trying to serve customers. This week I went in wanting to order a vegan curry and went up to the counter to order. There was one member of staff there who asked, after I'd waited for a couple of minutes, if I was there to pick something up. I wasn't, because I wanted to order something, so he went back to preparing burgers for a delivery without any hint that he might take my order at some point, or any apology for the delay. There was a second member of staff over the other side who was chopping up oranges and equally uninterested in trying to take an order or interacting with customers. After several minutes of being ignored I decided to leave and eat at home.

I really enjoyed having several meals at this place. Outstanding organic food, my favorite is the spicy veggie rice dish. And sometimes if you're lucky there are mango smoothies. Prices are ok. Not too long waiting times and generally there is always a place to sit. One of my favorite places in Erfurt.

We love the lunch we had here several week ago. Our orders were tasty, fresh, nutritious and coming from an interesting menu at a reasonable cost with a,great location and table for people watching, we rate this place as excellent!

This location is very nice, comfy and perfect if you want to relax. The food is fresh and tastes good. I can recommend to drink a Mango smoothie. Very delicious. The staff was very friendly. It’s really worth a visit.
