Club Plage Pereire

5 stars for location3 stars for foodThe beach at Perire is worth the trek from the town. The club consists of a restaurant with tables and chairs set out in the sand. They also have service area in loungers. Food is decent. It is the only place to get food and drink if you didn't bring your own. Washroom is a public one behind the restaurant. There is also a public shower near by.We orders a nice bottle of wine and calamari to cool down as the temperature was bearing 38c. It was 3pm and looked like the place was overrun during lunch time. The staff seemed very stressed but the manager seated us on the beach. It took some time to order and get our wine. We also were able to order a bottle to go for the beach.Spectacular location. PS if you arrive by train to arcachon, you can walk to this beach in 20 min. Taxi will cost 25€ for a 5 min ride. Also the bus stop at that beach was not in service.

I have rated this bar restaurant as a 4 based mainly on it's fantastic location and cool ambience. Right in the middle of a golden sandy beach looking out to the water, it has a very caribbean feel and look to it. There is a lunch menu, an inbetween menu and an evening menu so you can get something all day long.It is expensive for what it is but i've treated that as the premium for the location but be warned it isn't a cheap snack bar. We had a bottle of one of their cheaper wines and shared a pizza (which was pretty good) and one coffee and it came to about 40 quid. However, note also that everything in Arcachon seems to carry about a 10% premium, presumably for location.Our table was on the sand under jumbrellas, they brought a wine cooler and stand. The staff were friendly and efficient and it was a good experience and a couple of lazy hours well spent.

Went to Plage Pereire after the sand dune and it was too hot to sit on the beach. Went to Club Plage Pereire instead and got lovely seats outside and facing the water. Sangria and seafood platter were delicious!

Lovely beach hut bar and restaurant right on the bassin d'arcachon. Lovely place to stop after a walk or cycle. About 3/4 km from Arcachon.
