Chuy's - Reservar uma mesa

We just heard about this restaurant and thought we would try it. We both had lived in Dallas and are familiar with and fond of Tex Mex Mexican food. We arrived at about 5:15 pm thinking we would enjoy a Happy Hour margarita. After we were seated, menus and water and straws and napkins and TWO forks in paper wrappers were placed on the table. Then a basket of thin chips and a small bowl of chunky salsa. It was difficult to scoop the chunks with the chips. We ordered Grande Margaritas on the rocks with salt. If there was salt on the rim, we couldn't see it. We ordered the combo fajitas for two. There were several strips of chicken; more strips of beef but it was overcooked; some onions and a few peppers on an iron skillet--definitely not sizzling! The server put two plates, a bowl of beans, a bowl of rice, the tortillas with the condiments stacked on top and left. We each still just had one sanitized (according to the paper wrapper) fork.What is the plan for serving ourselves the refried beans? Rice? Meat? Condiments? When we got the bill (which was for $60.04) we noticed that one of the margaritas was not discounted for Happy Hour. Our server said the skinny margarita wasn't included in Happy Hour. She didn't mention it when we ordered. We left a 20% tip--only because serving can be a hard job--but we will not be returning. The food was awful. It is terribly over-priced. There is no attention to detail or style or even coninuity. Different people for everything. There are other Mexican restaurants in this part of town that will be able to accommodate you with better food, better service and better value for your money.

7/5/22-We ended this place when we found tacobe, was closed and benedikts was far too expensive. the food is a great price for the amount they receive and it tastes good. the service is also good and they are very understanding. the bad part of our eating experience was due to other guests. we were here on a working day during lunch and there were many tables that talked about business. one of the tables next to us who spoke about micromanging staff to get rid of only those who do not like them instead of trying to nourish and help people. they also made a set of discriminatory remarks. she is the one in the hat on the photos. we wanted to be moved and the restaurant was great to get away from her. Just note that this place is filled with local workers and they have no problem to be loud and mean for the people.

This is the most bland Tex Mex we've EVER had. Chuy's claims to make their own white corn tortillas. The problem is they have no flavor.My wife and I both ordered the chicken enchiladas. They were absolutely flavorless, as opposed to the beans and rice which were delicious!The service here was top-notch. Our server did everything she could to make dinner enjoyable.We'll never be back. I've had more flavorful microwave enchiladas.

great food and service! I had the flautas (I highly recommended) and my court was perfect! they also have a really nice outdoor terrace for these beautiful days! chuy’s motif is interesting nostalgic and appealing! I especially enjoyed the “Pet Wall” they feature where when they are in a framed image of their pet they will hang it on the wall for posterity-Very creative touch and gesture for their mozens! five stars every day!

Horrible overpriced margarita. Ordered happy hour priced margarita got charged full price. Ask to speak to manager. Manager came and basically told us to deal with it. Guy's name is Raul. Super rude. Hope it was worth arguing over 1 star review. First and last time. Congrats on the awesome hospitality and experience Raul.
