A great place on the airstrip at the Mülheim airport.The burgers were very close to perfect. Everything is prepared fresh and the service was friendly and fun.They have a "Burger-Konfigurator" menu that allows you to "have it your way", with over 20 different options. You can also configure chicken or pulled pork on your bun as you like.The salads were fresh and well prepared and you can have sweet potato or regular fries.If you don't want a burger or salad, they have a nice assortment of other items, all prepared fresh (you could hear them pounding my son's schnitzel in the kitchen -- nothing frozen here!).If you look them up online, you'll see a daily menu, with special items changing all month.You are right next to planes loading and taxing out to the runway, but it is so pleasant, my wife and son both said it was like a mini-vacation -- I even sat in the sun and watched the gliders, helicopters and all manner of small planes coming and going -- and I never sit!So, put this wonderful little cafe on your list of places to visit some Saturday or Sunday very soon!

Wenige rustikale Holztische mit relativ unbequemen Stühlen stehen im karg ausgestatteten Raum. Aus den Fenstern blickt man aufs Rollfeld und zur Start-/Landebahn. Draußen liegt neben dem Raucherbereich ein großzügiger Außenbereich/Biergarten.Speisekarte hat Niveau einer gehobenen Pommesbude. Die Schnitzel waren gut, Beilagen umfangreich und mit Süßkartoffelfrites geschmacklich interessant.Der Service war freundlich.

Awesome terrace with a panorama view onto the tarmac of Mülheim/Essen City Airport. Private jets and small planes, plus the zeppelin and the old double-decker Rote Baron are all on view. Great food, too! I've been living in Mülheim my whole life and never went...here... It just didn't occur to me. Now I will come back more often. It really is a very cool and unique place!
