Charlie's Bistro

Cozy nice space. We had dinner there at 7:45pm on a Saturday. There was only one person working front of house for 10ish tables. I felt bad for her! As a result service was low took about an hour and a half for two ppl to eat and pay, no cocktails or desserts and a little spotty for example once the food was served, she never checked back in and we couldn’t catch her eye so our fish fry went without tartar/anything to dip it in, not a huge deal, just bland. . The potato leek soup was too salty. One note that I missed on the entrees: they come with a huge serving of boiled potatoes and veg. Also very bland and just unexpected, it was a lot of food and much went to waste there were 6+full sized boiled yellow potatoes! I think the experience might be better for breakfast or lunch. When we stopped in to make a reservation earlier in the day, we got greeted by the on site dog which I loved.

Wonderful restaurant. The food and service is amazing and the prices are very affordable. Mega breakfast went for the full English with extra eggs delicious and the perfect remedy for a 30 mile run yesterday. Great food, great value, great atmosphere.
