Friday evening, next to the B B, so we called in for a meal. There is a buffet of starters and desserts when you walk in, that look very tempting. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. There was a fixed price menu advertised at €18 for 2 courses and €22 for 3. My sister and I ordered from the 2 course menu and our husbands ordered from the 3 courses. When the bill came we were charged for the items individually, so it was a lot more than we had bargained for. I had salmon €14.80) which was ok, nothing special, certainly had a lot better salmon fillets for less, it came with a choice of veg, salad, rice or a choice of potatoes. My sister and her husband had duck €15.50) which they both ordered medium and it came very well done. Our husbands had a salad perigord €10.90) and prawns €9.70) for starters. My husband said the prawns were lovely. My husband had a mixed grill €15.90) which he said was nice but there was only 3 small pieces of meat, beef, duck lamb. For desserts we all ordered off the fixed price menu again, apple tart €5.90), crepes Suzette €6.30), banana split €6.95) and my sister had the buffet dessert €8.50). My banana split was good. Beer was €6.50 for 50cl. Half a bottle of white wine was €11.90 A bottle of red was €16.50 We had coffees, priced at €2.10 for a decaf and €1.95 for a normal. Irish coffee was very good, but €7.50, so very steep. The meal was pleasant enough but €170.60 for 4 people, very expensive. If in the area again, I would try elsewhere.
