Cerveceria Cruz Blanca

Visited Cruz Blanca for the first time today. It has easily earned a place on my Top 10 Favorite Chicago Restaurants list! This food is amazingly delicious. Absolutely not your traditional Mexican food. Everything has a turn or is increased in any way. The chips, Guac and Salsas are all so fresh and tasty (especially the Guac and the green salsa). The tacos are also incredible. But what really was my opinion was the licky shrimp Cali Burrito. I was only eating half in the restaurant so I could experience it back home later. The classic Margarita is GOOD. Great size, great taste, and I was already tipped by one! The ambience was also perfect! Inside and outside. The staff was attentive. The (female) manager was so personal and it really showed that she was proud of her work and felt welcome and appreciated. I will definitely return.

Good quality food, but my wife and I weren’t impressed; none of it was truly THAT tasty and it was all extremely expensive for what we got. Service was a but non-attentive and lacking. We were also charged extra for al pastor to our california burrito without every mentioning there would be a charge. The only way we would’ve known this is because we asked for the receipt after. This felt inconsiderate because I would’ve gotten carne asada for no extra charge if that was the case

Very tasty place to get tacos and burritos. Since I am addicted to Tacos, I went there twice a week to try something of everything and I was not cheated. Both times the service was excellent and the food was very delicious. I was a bit surprised by the Pommes in the Steak Tacos, but this unexpected turn made it original. The portions are decent, the beer quenching and the drinks are very good. I will definitely come back for beer, tacos and burritos.

I will not say this is “authentic Mexican food” but it is a fantastic twisted delicious take on Mexican food, especially the tacos. Lammkäseburger Taco was my favorite, I know who would have thought about it. The guacamole and chips order comes with two small green and red salsas.

Pretty good food and Micheladas. 4 stars since you can't substitute any meat in your Burrito.. only the options on the meal item.
