Five in our party for dinner, wife, daughter and 2 young grandchildren. they had wanted to go to the nearby pizza/hamburger restaurant but it was a one hour wait for a table. I was stressed having lost my bank debit card through an ATM scam. The setting of the restaurant is hardly ideal, adjoining the car park entrance/exits. We were however immediately made welcome by the lady owner...who speaks 4 languages fluently. The service was immediate with water, olives and saucissons brought to the table. As it was late for the children, 10.00pm we ordered from the a la carte menu although there was a good choice in the fixed 3 course menus Some excellent fried calamares as nibbles followed by quite delicious meat dishes, a special mention for the french fries, produced in house, none of the plastic rubbish! I finished with a home made almond tart. An interesting selection of wines, not overpriced. The lady owner kept a watchful eye over proceedings and her friendliness made for a most enjoyable evening. We were 7 people for lunch, the day after the Status Quo show in Cap Roig. We ordered many different starters combining seafood, jamon, croquetas.. all of them were just perfect, the quality was the best, and the presentation and taste as well. After that it came the main dish, rice of course, with shrimps and some other seafood, and believe I was close to cry : it was an amazing rice!!!! I tasted many rices in my life, and when I say that this was one of the bests I ever ate, I mean exactly this. If you want a place in Palamos to eat proper rice, fresh food, tasting, for a reasonable price and with an excellent and friendly service, this is your restaurant, dont even think about it, just go there, you won't be for sure dissapointed!
Very good traditional Mediterranean restaurant in the town center, many options of good quality, simple yet very well executed dishes in Mediterranean style. Menu allows for “tapeo” that means that you can try different local specialties. Very good products. Good service, close and friendly atmosphere, we were nicely recommended on the options. Nice local and Spanish wine selection. We had a lovely stay.
