Camping De La Vallée

December 2023, 29 31 We spent two nights with our camper van at this wonderfully simple campsite in the greenery along the river! Cécile warned us upon arrival that there was limited electricity, but we could do without it, so no problem. Francis walked in shorts ! to keep the greenery tidy after all the rain and high water! We had a nice walk and enjoyed the peace. When we left, we got stuck with the bus in the mud too close to the river due to our own actions. Cécile and Francis did everything pushing, pulling, jacking underneath, etc. and finally calling for help with a tractor, on a Sunday and December 31 of all days! to help us get free. Finally, with that tractor we managed to get us out onto a paved surface! We thought it was a wonderful experience ; What warm, friendly people, and what a nice, quiet spot for people who like simple camping. We left our bottle of bubbly for New Year's Eve as a thank you and we will definitely go back in another season! With thanks and best wishes for 2024, Jan Willem and Vic, Amsterdam

Wonderful campsite right on the river with a beautiful swimming area. Quiet and clean, with a very nice and friendly boss (thanks Cecile! who always looks after her guests attentively and bakes great pizzas in the wood-fired oven in the evenings. The Ognon River is great for swimming or paddling. The sanitary facilities were in top order and clean.

Super hospitable, uncomplicated and relaxed. Very quiet location on a small river. With lots of shade and yet sunny. Child friendly. Very inexpensive.

Quiet place with warm welcome from the owner. We had a great weekend. Plus the pizzas are super good.
