A ? in the ruff, the ? tamales built is alive and well in SF Valley.California Tamale House seems to have mastered the art of homemade tamales on a large scale. I had the beef/red chicken/green and both had good seasoning, textures, delicious sauce and a good ratio of meat to Masa. The Masa was also tasty. It had a nuttiness reminiscent of hand/homemade from scratch and the texture was good to we're it didn't crumble too much after steaming. The side of refried pinto beans was excellent and the rice well seasoned, fluffy and delicious. In my experience, rice can be tricky ;; sometimes dry or not seasoned properly. Getting here is easy, PARKING can be a challenge! So if you have a hunkerin' for good Tamales/ Mexican food, I would definitely recommend you give C.T.H a try; MMM, MMM Rico!! Don't forget your ?!:
