Cafe Venice - Reservar uma mesa

I had seen this restaurant pop up on OT a couple of times and decided to try it. It is nothing fancy and there are no white tablecloths, but the food is very good and our server was great. He was knowledgeable about the menu and explained things to us in detail. The house salad here is one of the best salads I have had in a long time. The house made pasta was very good. The garlic bread in sourced from Empire Bakery and delicious. I would suggest a little better wine list for red, though. This spot doesn't look like much from the outside, but give it a shot. It is very good and very pocketbook friendly. We will go back.

Saturday night 7:30, only 2 tables occupied. We were one of the two. One waiter who was also the bartender. We went in because they sent out a coupon. Ok, this restaurant offers a fantastic breakfast and lunch. Freshly cooked and delicious. It’s always busy and your happy with your choice to eat here. Cafe Venice was a total disappointment. Nothing like the daytime Eggcellent Cafe. It tasted like reheated Italian purchased at Costco or Sam’s Club. Next day we both had that to much MSG feeling. Good luck Cafe Venice, I won’t be back.

I made a reservation for lunch based on the menu featured on OpenTable. That menu is a dining one, not available at lunchtime. Found out once there that this restaurant has a different name at lunchtime (Eggsellent). This was a total disappointment.
