Cafe Konig - Reservar uma mesa

For anyone visiting Baden-Baden that wishes to indulge their sweet tooth, Café Konig is on the must go bucket list. It is primarily an upscale candy and pastry shop with an array of exquisite cakes and truffles. We sat at one of their many alfresco tables to enjoy cappuccino and Black Forest cake. I will return for another piece of their Black Forest cake on any future trip to Baden-Baden.The shop is centrally located. There was a steady stream of customers on a mid-September Saturday afternoon. The customer waits in line to purchase a piece of whichever cake is preferred. The plate is then tagged with your table number for the server to deliver with the rest of your order.

Staying close to Baden Baden, we were fortunate to be able to visit this Cafe/bakery three times. Each time, we left with bags of delectable pastries. We also had pastries with coffee and tea. The service staff are generally very good. However, the Afternoon Tea is very expensive for very average food. The sandwiches were not tasty, and my wife's scone was rock hard. She showed it to the waitress who was very apologetic and provided us with a refund for the Afternoon Tea. With that stated critique, I would still recommend this establishment for some of the best pastries in Europe.

just sit on this beautiful place and see the people drag by - the entry price is worth! they also have breakfast and lunch, but I usually go to the cake. they choose their cake in the confectionery next door and they give them a paper that they hand over to the waitress. sometimes it is very full. many regulars who probably eat there every day. an institution in Baden-Baden

Just arrived in Bad Herrenalb, we looked for a comfortable place to rest, have some good coffee and enjoy some delicious pastries. Tripadvisor helped us in this sense. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed for one hour and enjoyed our stay, food and drinks. An experience to surely repeat.

We stopped in here for a drink and some deserts/snacks during the afternoon. Excellent service, setting, and nice range of appetizing stuff...
