Cafe Francais - Reservar uma mesa

Tout juste en face de l'opéra Bastille, là où tant de belles musiques résonnent aux oreilles des mélomanes, une autre partition se joue au "café Français", harmonieuse, cadencée et sans aucune fausse note.Cet établissement feutré à la cuisine simple mais faisant la part belle aux beaux produits, réussit le tour de force de nous faire oublier, grâce à son discret service à la baguette et une tonalité d'ensemble aussi moelleuse que ses banquettes, le brouhaha continuel d'une place de la Bastille souvent ponctuée par la discordance de ses klaxons. Mon ami et moi y avons nos habitudes depuis plusieurs mois, la table "xx" en hiver et la "xx" en véranda, aux premiers rayons caressants du printemps. Cette adresse d'exception ne nous a jamais déçu, et si par chance le joli minou de la maison prénommée Française, vous gratifie d'un passage au gré de son chaloupé cadencé et un brin précieux, vous aurez goûté à l'intégrale douceur de ce fort beau et bon restaurant. A coup sûr, face à son génie, vos papilles seront éPRISEs de la Bastille.

We met a friend for dinner here on her recommendation. Our initial view was not very positive given its location - we thought it may be too touristic.But the evening surprised us. The staff was friendly. The appetisers were good. The main course dishes too were good. Can't comment on dessert though as we didn't have any.We had a bottle of champagne and some whisky. Didn't have the cocktails so can't comment on them either.All in all we had a good evening and a good dinner. We enjoyed sitting outside and would certainly visit again.

I lived in the area few years ago and this cafe was one the best for brunch goid portion and reasonable price. I'm back now few years later and quality is not good with small portions.Very disappointed the eggs in a big dish seperated feom the salad. The bread is so small and hard to break. The croissant and pain au chocola so small and not tasty. Anyway will not combqck again.

Had dinner with friends there. Very nice and friendly service. But food is so so : the melon is cold coming from the fridge, the Milanese is burnt, the pasta is over cooked. The view is cool on Bastille and the service is friendly and well done. Please do it better in the kitchen and we come back.

Restaurant offrant une belle vue, terrasse très sympa en été, bons plats et service impeccable. L'endroit est un tout petit peu bling-bling mais rien de méchant, c'est Paris, nous avons adoré. Prix au-dessus de la moyenne.Service voiturier existant.
