Die anscheinend sehr neue Vinothek am Marktplatz von Zell, zum Cafe Bauer gehörend, springt einem sofort sehr positiv ins Auge. Und das war das Positive. Als Gast (wenn man nicht gerade Einheimischer ist) wird man nicht beachtet. Der Service hat mehr damit zu tun ein Schwätzchen mit Freunden und Familie zu halten. Der Koch hatte bereits um 19.30 h Feierabend und dies wurde uns auf eine sehr patzige Art und Weise auch mitgeteilt. Während unserem sehr kurzen Aufenthalt dort (Flasche Wein) konnten wir beobachten, dass einige Gäste enttäuscht ihren Tisch wieder verliessen, da sie dort vom Service komplett übersehen wurden.
Wij hebben eerst geluncht bij deze lunchroom. We hadden broodjes besteld, een met ham en ander met kaas. Broodjes waren helaas niet knapperig meer en tamelijk klein, jammer want zeker bij een bakker verwacht je heerlijk belegde broodjes. Op de camping s'morgens hadden we betere broodjes. Terras op een leuke plek in het dorp, wel aardig wat wind. We hebben hier ook taart meegenomen om bij de tent op te eten, en beide smaken waren echt zalig.
The space is intimate and comfortable, for breakfast we usually have coffee with some of their home made pastries. The Baker is outstanding, everything we have tried has been outstanding. The staff is helpful but their english is limited but we have not found that...to be a problem. This is a family run restaurant and you can tell they put their hearts in to it. Located in central Zell along the pedestrian street. Highly recommend.

My apple and cinnamon cream sponge was very light, my wife's plum cake was fairly stodgy, probably typical local fare!
