Britt's Pub + Eatery

This is specifically for Britts restaurant at Rockwood Park. {The uptown Britts Pub is fabulous!} My meal was not cooked! Soggy, limp and greasy fries. The batter on my fish was gross. There was slime under the batter between batter and fish because it was not cooked long enough and I don't know what spice they add to their batter, but it is not a compliment to the fish. I specifically requested mine be extra extra extra extra well done fish and fries both and it was completely under cooked. My side order of gravy was sitting so long that there was a thick film on the top that I had to peel back. Staff is wonderful people and very friendly but food is terrible and we had to return two plates and a fork because they were dirty... and no it was not just water marks, it was actual dried food particles on my plate. My sister ordered nachos which were not normal nacho chips but Britts chips, which are kettle cooked potatoes from what we could tell and it does not work. The crunchy chip is not there and they are soggy. The only thing I enjoyed was my glass of coca-cola. Never again will I eat there, but I do have to say that I did not have to pay for my meal, which is most appreciated.

Tried to go on a Saturday night with no reservation and there was a 30 minute wait, so we came back on Sunday. My wife and I both enjoyed our meals. I had turkey poutine and my wife had the chicken tacos. Too many fries with her meal, but seemed common for the area. Staff was great and we enjoyed the ambience.

Loved everything we stopped again on the way back from nova scotia. Love the attention to sustainability. Locally resourced, an excellent chef and fine beers- happy people.

The restaurant is jovial,clean and excellent.My superb Britt meat burger was very tasty,ample and served with excellent fries.The service couldn't be better.

Best breakfast we have had. Great atmosphere, friendly fun staff, service was excellent, food was unique and next to none. A must go place while in St. John.
