"Extremely overpriced especially for lunch entree. Food was above average as far as quality and quantity. My lettuce wedge was floating in thousand island dressing, had enough for probably four salads. Will we return? Probably not."

I have been dining at the Brig for as long as I can remember and have been to the Portside Pier location at least 8-10 times since it's opening. This review is difficult for me to write because I have always LOVED the Brig and looked forward to dining there. Unfortunately, this visit fell short of my expectations based on past experience. We always order the calamari to start because my 17 year old loves it. It was not at all how it has always tasted. The texture was wrong, there was hardly any breading. They took the first one back and brought out a fresh one and it hadn't changed at all-total bummer. In addition to it not being right in texture, the plate was roughly 1/2 of what it normally is. The rest of our four meals were ok however, my fish taco plate also fell somewhat short. Normally, the tacos come with a good amount of cheese on them. This tine, it was a scant amount under the fish. Also-tjey informed me that they were out of their really good siracha. These days everything is so expensive and it's really disappointing when you are a patron for so long and come to expect things to be a certain way. I will still come back to the Brig with my family but, it might be awhile.

From the hostess who sat us to Connor was our server everything about Brigantine was stellar. It was my Wife's birthday and we were visiting from out of town and they sat us outside right on the water under the moon omg it was fantastic and that was before the food. The crab cake was full of crab and flavor, my Wife had the certified ny strip and I had the crab stuffed prawns, both dishes were a knockout 10/10. Connor treated dessert so we chose the cheesecake to share and as avid cheesecake lovers the presentation/texture of the cheesecake was superb and the mixed berry compote was perfect. Easily a top 3 cake for us. Best part about the experience was it didn't feel stuffy but we certainly felt 5 star vibes.

Had some issues getting waited on. Was not crowded so not sure why. Someone in our party had to send her wagyu burger back twice because it was like a hockey puck both times. Luckily they took it off the bill and gave us dessert. Shrimp and grits were ok. Grits were chunky and dry. All veggies served were not cooked enough was just like eating them raw. Steak and lobster were very good. Crème brûlée was the best ever! Normally love this place thinking some of the employees were not into it that night. Will return. Beautiful place.

I order the clams and they were the worst I have ever had. They were not rinsed good at all. Each one had sand in them or broken shell pieces. The only thing that I will say was good was the bread pudding desert. Thank goodness for that.
