Breitenebenalm - Reservar uma mesa

we stayed in the Breitenebenalm from May 01 till May 08 2016 in the Apartment Adlerhorst which fits 2-3 people with separate toilet, shower and kitchen.The local food from the kitchen is fantastic as well as Tom and his team who can give you good hiking advice around the alm.The best thing is that in the evening when most daily visitors are gone, you are totally alone on 1420 m in the mountains.Then waking up in the morning in total silence with nature & animals waking up too.That is a great experience. We were right in the beginning of the season, best time to visit the area is from the beginning of June when all surrounding alms are open, you can then do a hiking tour right from your door to other alms and return.By the way children can play a lot with the animals and the playground.Tip, If you stay more days then ask for some of the special dishes which you can pre order. The kitchen is happy to make them when you order one day in advance. The regular menu although is also perfect.

Typical Austrian "kaiserschmarrn" (sort of teared off pancake with plum-jam) was combined with stunning mountain view absolutely delicious. Alm is accessible with car, SUV recommended.

We loved this Alpine stop on one of the walks around Grossarl. The place has amazing food, views and a wonderful play area for kids. It's a great visit for two hours!

Food was great, view even better! nice long bike ride up the mountain. Have to admitt we did walk a few meters, as it was to steep to ride the bike.

Nice place, accessible with the car, delicious Apfelstrudel. After hiking it is a good stop to have lunch or get a cold drink.
