Nice sunny June day. Did not want to venture too far, and thought this little streetside restaurant would do.We sat down, ordered two beers to chill and figure out the street scape. We decided to ear here, ordered a magret de canard (avec frites), medium, and an entrecote, saignant, and two more beers while we waited and chatted.We waited. We waited some more. Then we waited again!After I'd guess, 40 minutes we called the waiter who told us his chef had car problems!I said he should have told us that when we ordered. He did the shrug the shoulders thing.The entrecote arrived, and was fine, if a little agricultural.I sent back the "Medium" magret. It was cooked for two centimetres, and then the rest was purple raw.It came back after some more time, but was virtually well done. Dreadful. Having waited about an hour, I just ate it, and asked for the bill.When the bill arrived the waiter was at great pains to point out that he zero'd the beers as an apology for the chef's little car problem.A potentially nice lunch hour messed up because of the establishment's indifference. The beers did not make up for it. We won't be returning. Should have tried one of the establishments across the street.
