Brasserie Casanova

If you are driven from the beach for example on a very rainy day in summer and you decide to shop at Carrefour and also find a place for lunch then you must try Brasserie Casanova within the shopping centre. The hard working, eagle eyed owner may seem a little brusk but he is ensuring everything works well and his staff do not become overloaded. Smile and you will be rewarded with a table followed by great, good value, fresh and tasty food served and presented well. Heavy thunderstorms on Monday 13th August 2018 found us in this shopping centre at 13.45. The owner found us a table for two (22) We ordered Salade Casanova and a Salad Nicoise both “large” A few minutes after two reasonable sized salads were delivered the owner came and apologised as we had been given small by mistake and we would be charged accordingly €11.90. Frankly these “small” salads would have easily compared with other “main course” salads in other places. A glass of Rosè €3.80 and a 25cl beer €3 accompanied the food. We finished with cafè gourmand €6.50 which was very good in every way. We had fun, we ate well and we saw a hard working owner missing nothing and ensuring by example his staff worked equally hard for the customer. Inevitably we will return.

We had run into that regular problem in France of leaving lunch too late. Most (good) restaurants finish service at about 1pm and we were coming out of Carrefour and realised we had pretty much left it too late. Part of the shopping centre includes a few other retailers including this restaurant.At first glance we were going to try our luck elsewhere but the menu seemed to include sensible brasserie items. They had some very good looking large salads and various other things on a special menu.Suffice to say we ate well and for a reasonable cost so I would say if you are in Puget shopping and want somewhere with air conditoning to have lunch give it a go

We have had lunch here and enjoyed the experience. However! We stopped for ice creams late afternoon on Tuesday 29th August. The prices on the card seemed excessive but thought they must be something very special. How wrong we were. We ordered a Dame Blanche €11.30 and a Chocolate Liegeois also €11.30. Don't get me wrong both ices accompanied with a glass of water we're very nice, but also very normal. They certainly did not justify the extrordinary high price. This a a resteraunt in a shopping centre. Not a fancy 5 star establishment with a sea view. Our fault but we will not make the same mistake here, twice

Typical of many Hypermarket Mall type brasseries, busy but a menu which is deliberately meant to confuse. The only written mention is on a board outside and no carte to refer to once seated. The manager then gives a range of offers, none of which were on the board and all more expensive. Cooking is ok but very basic. Not good value for money. The lack of alternative places in this busy shopping centre means they have little competition otherwise I suspect many would chose somewhere else.

this Brasserie is situated in the Carrefour shopping centre. They serve very good food, well presented and lots of flavour.we had lunch here on Tuesday 30th August 2016. we were warmly greeted by the owner who made sure everyone was looked after.Our food was very good and this is a perfect place to rest and eat after or before shopping at the big boxes in the area.we will return.
