Bottegone del vino

This is actually more a winebar-type of restaurant with very limited choices regarding the food. But the food is fresh and good, so that's all you need. They brought some nice little things right at the beginning which was great. We had some bruscettas and mixed salads to start with and they were very nice., The salad with fish as a starter was a bit tasteless and the portion was very small for 28 CHF. The pasta dishes were delicious, especially the ravioli. The veal with poircini was very good, but cooked a bit too long. The beef was perfect to the point. Desserts were nice, but again the portions were quite small. Prices are quite high, but obviuously normal for Switzerland. Great wine menu and reasonably priced. Service was nice but a bit too stressed. Altogether a very nice casual evening with good food and you're never disappointed at this place.

This restaurant had been recommended, so on a day trip from Lake Como we decided to try it. It seemed very clearly to cater more to wealthier businessman, not a couple out for a good lunch on a vacation. The staff were friendly but we couldn't escape the feeling that maybe we were in the wrong environment. The food was just okay..branzino and orechiette, but not big portions at all. There was an extensive wine list, but they were all expensive...again, maybe geared for clientele who have business expense accounts, but not so much for vacationers trying to stretch a dollar.

If for you wine and food goes always together....that's the place to visit in Lugano! The selection of food is limited compare to a traditional restaurant, how ever the atmosfera is of a fine wine bar.I stop by lunch when I prefer quality over quantity of the offer!Enjoy the wine large offer....

Very nice restaurant in the center of Lugano. Offers very tasty food and a great wine selection. They serve as well some good wines by the glass. I personally like the "tartare di manzo" very much! Very friendly and efficient service.

Terrific low fat fresh seas bass & asparagus for husband, while I had the exquisite ricotta with truffles ravioli. House merlot was just stupendous. Also enjoyed the complimentary tapas. We will be back.
