Black Swan - Reservar uma mesa

Went with a friend for lunch and ordered a medium rare steak. When it arrived it was probably more rare or blue then it was medium rare but I didn’t complain as I normally like any steak and didn’t want to kick up a fuss. By the next night I had food poisoning with major stomach cramps and sickness. It certainly wasn’t from any other foods I had eaten due to the types of food I had before and after this. I had heard a few rumours food isn’t always stored properly and it’s not the cleanest of kitchens so I guess that answers why. It seems other reviews had complained about the food as well so something isn 't right there. I had even spoken to a few people I know who said the less said about there the better . Certainly won’t be going back. Front of house staff polite though.

A family lunch: getting elderly relatives and cousins together. This was a convenient place to meet up. This a big pub and, although it wasn’t crowded on a Thursday lunchtime, the staff were run off their feet. The chap serving us was very busy but, even so, he did his utmost to make sure we got what we needed quickly. He was courteous, cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. He gets 5 stars! The food was good I had a rather nice fish burger with mushy peas inside (good idea), others had curry, pie, sausage and mash and so on. My wife pinched her dad’s savoy cabbage and pea mixture from under his pie, which she enjoyed a lot. Good pub food, very reasonably priced.

Appalling service with first course not arriving for nearly one and a half hours after arriving. Won’t be back and much better local pubs available

Food was in edible, baked camembert was rock hard (overcooked). Told kitchen is now closed we will refund you. Won't be visiting again.
