You can do better is the main content of my review…the place is very nice, the adorable village, so cozy and romantic. Service is very good, excellent welcome and explanation of the menu. Unfortunately, the food didn’t wow me….on the contrary…I was sad to see so many qualitative ingredients a bit tortured and not well exploited…some excellent home made spaghetti swimming in a untasty creamy of lobster…I am still wondering why? Where was the lobster taste? Why so much cream? The chicken of Bresse is another excellent product but why mixing it up with corn and rice and a far away fois gras? Why? I kept on eating and thinking how these amazing ingredients could have been cooked differently… The wine cart is good but a bit overpriced…this is why the majority of people around me were picking the less expensive rosè wine… I would recommend this place but perhaps picking the simplest choices in the menu, without too many expectations.

We have been to this lovely little restaurant a couple of times before and we have such fond memories. It’s charm is it’s size and the chefs skill in creating wonderful dishes using local ingredients, and of course it’s location in the old lanes of TsL. Our last visit was over a year ago unfortunately because of the Covid situation as although we own a house locally our main home isn’t in France so we’ve not been allowed to travel. So we were excited to come back. But, as it turned out it was one of the most disappointing meals we’ve had in a very long time. We chose the young goat which apparently had been cooked slowly for many hours but it just had no flavour at all and was so tough I had to leave most of it. Our desserts too were uninspiring. It’s as if the chef is trying too hard and it’s not working. Please, please go back to how you were cooking a year ago and we’ll come back.

During our holiday we'd dinner in the restaurant. The food was very delicious. The employees were very nice. The service was very good. Even the restaurant isn't cheap it's absolutely worth to eat there. Don't forget to visit it! And don't forget to make a reservation in advance!
