"Our waitress Stephanie B. was amazing. Wife had the pork chop dinner, Two big breaded pork chops, corn on the cob and slaw, Chops were very tender and flavorful. Slaw was just slaw. I had the loaded salad with ranch and it was indeed loaded. Really enjoyed that. We had bang shrimp and hot potato chips for starters. Both very tasty. Will definitely be returning when we are in the area. BTW they do offer a military discount."

I wish it were better. I came to Big Daddy's Bar Grill for dinner, and this bbq spot was close to my hotel. While it is a BBQ place, you can in fact order non bbq items, including Burgers, steaks, fish and the like. I wasn't interested in any of that however, and so after checking out their menu, I decided on their pulled BBQ pork platter $11.99). The pulled BBQ pork platter came with a decent serving size of pulled pork, covered in a sweet bbq sauce. You also get a choice of two sides, although they suggest one of the sides as bbq hash. I did get the Hash, and the 1/2 cup of Pan brisket baked beans. A small cornbread muffin also came with the platter. Starting with the good, I enjoyed the baked beans. There were nice chunks of moist brisket mixed throughout the beans, which made this a much more souped up version of baked beans. They did need a touch more bbq sauce mied in, but I ate all of these. The pulled pork seemed to be a matter of preference if you liked it. I thought the texture of the pulled pork was that of boiled meat. It didn't seem smoked or bbq'd at all. The bbq sauce applied was also really sweet as well. I do like my sauces on the sweeter side, but that was just overboard to me. Maybe two slices of bread in the form of a sandwich would've slowed those sweet flavors down. The hash was very intersting to me. I thought the hash would be hash browns, but what I was told was the hash was almost a liquified bbq....It was mushy, flavorless and I just didn't know how to eat it. I did try, with a couple of spoonfulls, but I just couldn't finish it. This was a to go order, but customer service was fast, friendly and quick to serve me. I liked that everyone who came by and saw me sitting did at least ask if I had been helped. Very cool guys! Located off of Jimmie Dyes Pkwy, in a small strip, parking was fine, and getting in and out of this lot onto Jimmie Dyes was no problem at all. There's always the risk that to go orders may give a poor representation of a restaurant, and that could be true, but at least for the forseable future, it may be a while before I come back here.

It was Thursday and I was pushing 8pm. Most other 4+ star reviewed BBQ joints in Augusta was set to close at 9pm however, Big Daddy's closing time was 10pm and the reviews looked promising. I arrived and the place sort of reminded me of an Ale House back in Jacksonville except a lot smaller. I was greeted and sat promptly. The place was dead besides a few patrons sitting on the outside patio and a few other folks sitting at the bar. I noticed that there was no sauce on the table, or utensils. The sauce thing can be a pro or con, I've had BBQ so good it didn't need sauce. On the other hand, who really eats BBQ without sauce? Another thing I noticed was all the trophies, man I thought I was in for a treat. I ordered the Triple Combo BBQ Platter with a sweet tea. The sweet tea was too sweet, I'd say a little sweeter than Micky D's sweet tea. My food arrived with a roll of paper towels in case things got a little messy, still no utensils though. However the waitress did bring those promptly. Chicken was shredded which was a little new to me. Pulled pork and ribs were pretty standard. Sauce was poured on top of all the meats so I assumed this was their signature sauce. Once I started digging in, terrible. Probably the worst Q I've had all year and worst meal I've had all week in Augusta. The sides weren't much better with the cole slaw and green beans. I decided to get my order to go in hopes of maybe finishing it later that night. The waitress brought my Styrofoam container with no smaller containers for the sides, no biggie I'll just take the meats. Didn't ask if I wanted to take my sweet tea to go either, which I didn't. My leftovers sat in the fridge and was cleaned out by the maid the next day.

5 for the service 3 for the food Most restaurants in the area were closing at 9pm so we selected Big Daddy's since they are open until 10. We were seated promptly and our waitress Brooke was there on the spot. Their menu is broad appetizers, wings, nachos, quesadillas, steaks, seafood, burgers and BBQ. My son ordered a 1/2 lb burger with sloppy tots (covered in ranch, cheese fake bacon bits). He liked the burger but doubted it was anywhere close to 1/2 lb. I selected the appetizer of bang shrimp with a side of tater tots. It took a really long time for our food (were were the only people seated in our section at 9:15pm). My tater tots arrived about 20 minutes after our food. It was weird because my son had tots on his plate. The tots were seriously overcooked fried super hard, almost inedible and certainly not tasty. The shrimp were really good so it made up for the terrible tots. Our waitress was really friendly and efficient. Just wish the kitchen had stepped it up a bit.

I've been here maybe four times and had had ZERO problems! We love this place and always make it a point to stop and eat here when passing through Augusta. Definitely a local hole in the wall. The staff has always been pleasant and you can tell they have a fair amount of regulars. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich and a rack of ribs the meat literally falls off the bone. Pretty sure they make all their BBQ sauces too. My husband also likes their hot wings and always gets loaded tater tots. Kids menu is fairly extensive. Dessert options change, but I cant say I've anything bad. Plus prices seem fair for the portions you get! Military discount for our troops. As far as cleanliness goes, I have no complaints. Bathrooms always seem to be well stocked and taken care of. Never had a dirty table. All in all, definitely worth checking out if you have time for a good, sit down meal.
