Bergrestaurant Vogelberg

Sadly, although this restaurant at first appeared to be set up for social distancing , with masking tape indicating where up to four people could sit at their outdoor tables and the rules stuck on each table, the rules were not enforced. A group of 7, who were obviously a walking group, arrived, sat at the table next to us and ripped off the masking tape. They said they had a reservation.; the maximum group size allowed in Switzerland is four at the moment. We left immediately. Shame, because the food looked lovely.

The enthusiasm and culinary expertise of Yasmine and her Team are outstanding! The sausage, sauce, and fried potatoes are savory and flavorful. We really appreciated the opportunity to eat lunch and visit with Yasmine. My husband and I were vacationing from Texas with very little knowledge of the area, Yasmine was welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is located on the walking trail, please take the opportunity to drop in for a beverage, snack or meal. You won't be disappointed!

The food is good for this place. The service is good (self-service). The atmosphere outside is very mountain-like and great for this place. Of course the view is good. The owners are helpful and very friendly. I was able to charge my e-bike for 2 CHF per bike. Personally, I think it's okay because there's effort involved in addition to the costs. Gladly again another time.

Friendly staff, good price but very small portions. The Vogelberg cold meat plate at 19 francs had very little on it unfortunately. Same with the risotto for 20 francs. Good price value is the cordon-bleu. It was delicious. On the other hand, the Terrace is beautiful! It takes you 50 minutes to hike back to main station at Wasserfallen.
