Beijing Cuisine

My husband, myself and our families used to be regulars here (I reviewed previously), but over the last few months the service and quality of the food have diminished significantly The last time we sat in we were disappointed by the quality of the...dishes we've had so many times before. We commented on this to the waitress who said it was a different chef, but the recipe and ingredients were the same. I didn't think this was the case, as the dishes tasted like they were all in the same artificial tasting gloop with different colors added. A huge difference to the fresh, almost authentic Chinese cooking we had been used to. We have tried twice since that visit for take away (pick up) and found the service was chaotic and the food really poor again. We mentioned both times, but despite being previously regular patrons no-one seemed to care? We really used to love this place and are disappointed that we have now just given up altogether and only frequent the Cotton House now.

Although the food was fine it wasn't great. The service is also terrible. I have been here numerous times and they are always well over delivery time and even when you place an order and go in for it they take forever. I have actually...been a few times and waited ages because they didn't bother to put the food on until I came in. Go somewhere else for example the bamboo gardens which is just down the road or the cotton house

This place use to be better or at least on a par with the Cotton House in Longcroft, but not anymore. Services is a lot slower than it used to be and food quality has taken a bit of a dip recently. Even though its...slightly more expensive I might move to the Cotton House as a more regular than here.

The restaurant is quaint, quiet and intimate. The three course dinner offer is well -worth booking as this is great value and the food is really tasty. The staff are friendly , warm and pleasant.

was here many paintings now, small restaurant, friendly service great eating always well, although pre-booking recommended at wochenenden
