Bavarian Blue - Reservar uma mesa

There is a comment/heading in this thread that this restaurant is 'closed'. Not true, service is slow but it is not closed! Relatively small seating area and not very rigorous about bookings it accepts. We booked for 4, but no table was reserved for us. Oh dear! Had to settle for a table meant for 2. When a table for 4 became available, it was not offered to us but grabbed by 2 adults and 1 child coming in off the street. So much for bookings. Order taken promptly but meal took ages to come. Seems light on for staff. Food was average only, poor sauerkraut, over cooked kasseler, vegetables very ordinary, heavy sauces. Not appealing. One of our group is of German heritage, and a good cook of German dishes. She was very disappointed. Didn't work out for us and we won't return.

This is a delightful little restaurant in Wellington Point.If you didn't know it was there it could be easily missed.We went here over 10 years ago so decided to try it again.Certainly gives a good example of German style food.The food was OK - probably not as good as our last visit but acceptable all the same.Service was OK - hate to see what it would be like if the restaurant was busy - acceptable once again.We will try to come again before another 10 years have elapsed.

Very disappointing. Table was very sticky! I ordered a pork knuckle. It was so disappointing. No crackling at all - it was just a stewed pork bone. Sourkraut was average. Husband ordered chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce - very average. Redeeming factor was the staff were nice but sorry the food we had was average and when I asked about the crackling we got no response. Not good for business

No pretence here just honest and delicious German food, great price and good service. Don't let the décor put you off the food is what its all about.

loved the cook it yourself at this venue, great for friends and families to get out together and enjoy a culinary experience
