"Ten euros 90 for the best Menu del dia for a long time. Bean stew for the starter was absolutely delicious, followed by roast chicken and ice cream. Everything was so tasty and the wine wasn't bad either."

I can’t give enough stars for this place! I am a solo traveler and have been around the world and acclaim myself as quite the foodie and this place hit all the spots. I happened to stumble upon this gem although it’s slightly off the path of the more well known and expensive restaurants. Let me start with the man of the hour, he was so kind and excited about his food. He talked with me about his recipes and you could see the love in his face. I had him order for me and he earned my trust after the first bite. First, the beans were unbelievable. The pork offered so much flavorful to this dish and she had the perfect balance of acid and heartiness that I craved on this cold day. The pork, this crispy skinned buttery meat was something I had never had before and was complimented by the side of potatoes with his homemade wine infused salt. The dessert he recommended was lite, creamy and her layers were just perfect. One of the best meals I have had in all of Spain.

Having walked around trying to find a place to eat that didn't have picture menus showing pork chops, eggs, and chips, we came across this little gem of a place. A curtain was drawn across the front door, but once inside the welcome was warm. The restaurant area was like eating in the owner's own home. Nothing pretentious, just friendly and cosy. The food was excellent, especially the local bean stew. I had the daily menu which included wine. I thought I was getting the customary single glass, so I was pleasantly amazed when I was given a whole jug of refreshing red house wine. Just perfect with the bean stew. The couple that ran the place were always coming up and checking to make sure the food was being enjoyed. It's a place that gives you a little insight as to how it may be if one were invited to a Spanish family's home for a meal. A very satisfying experience overall.

Wonderful option for a no nonsense lunch in Segovia. The 12,50 euro menu on Saturday is excellent value. Includes entrees, main, dessert, bread, and a drink. Great selection with plenty of variety. Close to the aquaduct. Very friendly staff who did their very best with our English speaking guests. Highly recommended as good value for money.

The restaurant is under new management as of Summer 2020. The inside is beautifully renovated and the outside terrace views will leave you speechless. The menu has many traditional Segovian specialties as well as vegetarian options. Can't wait to go back.
