we were through, so stayed in this beautiful city for a bite to eat. we were with young children so needed somewhere that would open early (before 6.30 clock) and serve quickly. the lady who served us was very helpful, although the communication was difficult....Your English was marginally better than my French, so it was interesting to say the least. we ordered some omelettes and fries (the menu was very limited) and a few beers. it was all very nice, but quite expensive for what we had. the bill came over 60 euro for two adults and two children (only four animals don't wein). Apart from the cost, it was a very nice surprise to find the restaurant early and at such a beautiful place to eat something and take in the French environment. a popular spot I think.

First place we stumbled upon in Fougeres after parking and walking up towards the Saturday morning street market. We came in for a quick coffee, a newspaper and magazines but the easy going and reasonably busy feel, together with the views distracted and absorbed us for an hospitable 45 mins. Obviously has a loyal local following. Would come back.Would have added my photo but can't seem to do it on a first comment attached to a request or a new listing.

we had a nice, cheap meal here. there are only a few simple dishes on the menu, but they are ideal for a family dinner. the waitress was very friendly and the location was also cozy: a place in front of the theater.

Boss at the top! It's clean! the super nice terrace in the summer! There's everything. tobacco bar and newspapers.
