Bar B Q King - Reservar uma mesa

How have I never been here? We caught a theater Charlotte Show at the Warehouse 242 and fortunately we had the first two restaurants where we stopped, longer waiting times than we had time. Bar-b-q King for salvation! Definitely a 50s vibe. You draw on a speaker, order, and a server delivers your tray (not on roller skates though! . You pay the server, and there is a supplement of 3% for a card, so cash is good here. I have a grilled chicken salad and Sis has a chicken club. Although I had never been here, I had the good sense of ordering the onion rings. Definitely a good choice. Light, crisp, perfectly fried. Next time we give it more time than we ended to go boxes that were delivered immediately. Love it. Back!

A delicious explosion from the past. I ordered the jagged bar-B-que sandwich, onion rings and a coke. The bar-b-que sandwich was really good. The sauce on the sandwich gave the pig great taste, but was not overwhelming. The onion rings had a perfectly crispy dough on them and the size of the regular order is huge. Service was very fast and friendly. I am sure that the carp that seemed to be older is loved by regular visitors. I was there on Wednesday afternoon at about 1:45 and there were several other cars. This is clearly a very popular drive-in-style restaurant.

My man Stan brought me my order and asked me, “Can you hannelit? Ten minutes later I asked my man Stan, “Were seconds included in my combo?” Stan was my server at the Bar-B-Q King. He was great! The food came out fast. The BBQ was ! I really like the vinegar based bbq in North Carolina. I definitely recommend this place!

I am ashamed to say as a native of Charlotte who has been here all my 41yrs on earth, that I am just now trying them! Oh how did I let this happen!! I tried the Po boy burger and it was so dang good! Can’t wait to go back and try fish, chicken and of course some bbq!

Had the poor boy with bacon fries today to go the bbq fried chicken. I always enjoyed eating here. Sad with the way Charlotte changes, they can't be much longer.
