BackWerk in Mainz is located in the middle floor at the station, next to a hairdresser. In addition to the escalators at the top or bottom, there is usually an advertising poster on which croissants are advertised for 59 cents. The prices that have risen a little lately are much better than most other bakeries. Unfortunately, in some products, and in my opinion, the Croissant also belongs to quality. Some things just don't taste fresh. In the croissants there is the problem that the taste of butter is strongly absent. Well, these products are more exception. I strongly recommend the baguette rolls (not the Kaiserbrötchen), the Paderborn bread (I think it's so hot) and all leaf baked products (e.g. filled with spinach). Croissants and Brezeln are not recommended. Backwerk has a great value for money, where hardly any bakery can withstand and is centrally located in the train station. It is also great that this branch is open on Sunday, so you can also taste a bread or rolls at good prices, like supermarkets all have and roll in other bakeries as twice.

BackWerk, hidden at the end of a walkway in Mainz Central Station, is a self-service bakery. As usual, so at least my impression, with traditional SB bakers, the price is the biggest argument for buying in this and also the point with advertising. The price of such a pricing policy, which directly tries to express competition on this point, must therefore have savings. In bakery, these are to be seen on the one hand under quality conditions that reflect directly in taste: In short, I bought a covered sunflower seed beer to check my impression for this post. The appearance and thus the exterior worked very well and the price was great. After the first bite, fill me directly the tasteless dough piece. The salad tasted strange and not very fresh, the Remoulade was not the best, and the egg seemed yesterday. With so many negative aspects, the nice employees can no longer save much, but instead of a star there are now 2!

The bakery at Mainz Central Station is a bakery where they serve themselves. The baked goods offered here are very cheap. But they don't have to hope that they taste good, because they don't do that much. Beverages are also available, but they are quite expensive. A cheap bakery with tasteful weaknesses. For me personally, no place I would recommend to them, they go to a normal bakery where they get something tasty in the morning for their money. I'm just losing 2 stars.

I know it's a self-service bakery, but you still use employees at the checkout. The employee spoke to her colleagues on the back. I called her once. Instead of saying I'm coming, she ignored me. Then they complained why I can't wait 1 minute. I think if you work in a train station, you should also know that most people want to get their food quickly. ♪
