Baci San Diego - Reservar uma mesa

I had looked forward to my first visit to Baci but I was disappointed. We were seated in a very pretty courtyard area that was unfortunately very hot and humid and needed more ceiling fans to keep guests comfortable. The tomatoes in two Caprese Salads were underripe and not flavorful, and the salad needed to be finished with a good olive oil and balsamic glaze, otherwise it was just blah. Two other guests enjoyed their caesar salads. My salmon was way too salty, the accompanying carrot hard and raw...I couldn't even cut it with my knife. Overall it felt like this restaurant is resting on the laurels of its longevity and reputation. Not what I was expecting from a restaurant that bills itself as fine dining Italian with prices to match. I have enjoyed much better food at more modest Italian restaurants. We all decided that we would probably not return

It was our first time dining there and we were blown away from everything; the welcomeness, the service, the food, the value, and the owners. My girlfriend is from Sicily and apparently so are the owners and a lot of the staff. They were so nice and friendly, it was refreshing to experience. We will definitely be going back regularly

I made a reservation here for my husband I, based on what other OpenTable diners had to say. My husband and I were not disappointed. This place is a gem. From the outside it looks small and unassuming, but once you step inside you find out it is spacious and elegant. The food was delicious and the service was top notch
